Secret Garden, a Norwegian national treasure band, is a celestial sound from Northern Europe. Founded in 1994, the band consists of two talented musicians: Irish violinist and singer Fionnuala Sherry, and Norwegian composer, arranger, and pianist Rolf Løvland.

In 1996, the first album "Songs From A Secret Garden" was released. This album, produced by PolyGram Norway and released under the Philips label, achieved unprecedented success upon its release. It sold one million copies worldwide, becoming a platinum album in Norway and South Korea, a gold album in Ireland, Hong Kong, and New Zealand, and stayed on the Billboard New Age chart in the United States for two years in 1996 and 1997.

Barbra Streisand adapted the song "Heartstrings" from this album into "I've Dreamed of You" for her album "A Love Like Ours", and she also used "Heartstrings" during her wedding to James Brolin.
